A two weeks old baby boy has been stolen from his mother at the Abura Dunkwa Government Hospital in the Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese District of the Central Region during her afterbirth injury treatment.
The nursing mother, Monica Turkson in an interaction with Accra-UK based Rainbow Radio reporter Eric Annan narrated she stays at Abura Tuakwa but went to her mother at Edumfa after giving birth, where the suspected baby thief who happens to be a soap seller came to the house to witness the good news with a bar of soap as gift to the newly delivered mother since they know each other at Abura Dunkwa.
Monica Turkson said was supposed to go with her mother to the hospital for her treatment but this lady in question decided to play the good samaritan role by escorting her to the hospital, hence stopped her mother who earlier opted to go with her to the hospital.
She explained that, she gave her two weeks baby boy to the said soap seller when they got to the hospital for her treatment but later came back to see not her baby nor the soap seller.
"l told her to wait for me at the visitors room but told me they're hanging around for him not to cry but didn't know she had a different mindset to abscond with my baby," the nursing mother disclosed.
The case has since been reported to the Abura Dunkwa Police Station for investigations to be carried out.
