The District Chief Executive(DCE) for Ajumako Enyan Essiam District, Hon Ransford Kwesi Nyarko has urged the Chiefs and people of Ajumako Mando that, IMF bailout programme will not affect the government policies especially the Free SHS.
The DCE said this when he joined the residents of Ajumako Mando to rounded up their annual Akwambo Festival.
Speaking at the Akwambo festival as Guest Speaker, the DCE wished the Chiefs and people well and asked them to support the President Nana Akufo-Addo and the NPP government with prayers to make things better for all.
He added that, the global economic hardships have affected many countries of which Ghana is part; stressing that, going to IMF for bailout will not affect the Free SHS and other government flagship programmes.
A member of Mando Development Association, Mr Kofi Assan, who spoke for the Odikro of Ajumako Mando, Nana Okomfo Afful X asked for support to complete their community centre which was started five ago and bungalows for health workers in the community to be able to work effectively for 24hours.
He also appealed for creation of job opportunities for the youth in the area to help develop the town.
The Chairman of Mando Development Association, Mr Jamal Essuman on his part asked the residents to join the association wherever they are to help develop the community.
