Bizarre: Man Cuts Off 'Balls' While Asleep

A farmer at Assin Akomfode in the Central Region is in critical condition after accidentally chopping off his scrotum while asleep.

According to the farmer, Kofi Atta, while sleeping, he dreamt of cutting meat.

Unbeknownst to him, he was, in reality cutting a part of his male genital.

This condition is referred to as parasomnia. It is a sleep disorder that involves unusual and undesirable physical events or experiences that disrupt your sleep.

Kofi Atta told Alfred Amoh that when he awoke from sleep, he discovered himself in a pool of blood.

The sufferer is currently being treated at St. Francis Xavier Hospital in Assin Fosu and has been referred to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) due to his stable condition.

The victim’s wife, Adwoa Konadu, said that her husband had engaged in other activities while dozing off before. She claims that Kofi Atta frequently moves, converses, and occasionally fights while he is asleep.

Reports have it that, the family of the victim are unable to raise a fee of GH¢600.00 for fuel for the ambulance that would be conveying Kofi to the referral unit, Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH).
