C/R: Elmina Goes Clean

Elmina is well notable tourist attraction area in the Komenda Edina Eguafo Abrem Municipality of the Central Region that filth has engulfed the area due to economic activities.

A native of Elmina, Dr. Bernardette Hoffman has organized a massive cleanup exercise to keep the area clean and healthy for the residents and tourists that visit the centers.

Speaking to the media during the exercise on "Clean Elmina Campaign," she said, is a collective efforts and responsibility of every indigenous people of Elmina home and abroad to contribute it quota to improve upon the sanitation situation in the area.

She therefore called on the authorities to support to remove the refuse dump poising health hazard in the area.

In an interview with the Assembly Member for the Baakano Electoral Area, Hon. Abraham Bansah also urged the good people of Elmina to partake in communal labour to clean the township and called on Assembly to make by-laws to that effect so that it must be mandatory every Tuesdays.
