Against the backdrop of the statement which has been reported, the Aide for the District Chief Executive for the Ekumfi District Assembly, Hon David Dawson Akomfoze a.k.a Hon DD has debunked the viral claims that the District Chief Executive for the Ekumfi District Assembly of the Central Region, Hon Ebenezer Monney has given monney suggesting that, the wife of the Mfantseman Municipal Municipal Chief Executive Mrs Khadijah Anderson has been approved an Award Scholarship of Ninety Thousand Ghana Cedis (GH¢90,000) in cover of her tuition and accommodation and a monthly stipend of One Thousand Ghana Cedis (GH¢1,000.00) which is the equivalent of $14,634.00 and $163.00 respectively.
Speaking to AfricaNewsArenaGh's Adom Nanaa Odiasempa Savvy, Mr Dawson Akomfoze noted that, the statement as being acclaimed is not true, describing it as ‘cheap propaganda for relevance.’
The statement as being escalated is captioned read: 'Ekumfi DCE wards scholarship of ¢90,000 to his alleged girlfriend.'
He stressed that; "we are using this medium promising that Ekumfi District Assembly wishes to assure the public of its commitment to the provision of quality programmes and activities are intact and active to respond to every issue raised to tarnish our image.”
He, therefore, urged that the assertions is falsehood and must be treated with the contempt it deserves.

Letter signed by the District Chief Executive for the Ekumfi District Assembly of the Central Region, Hon. Ebenezer Monney has suggested that, the wife of the Mfantseman Municipal Municipal Chief Executive Mrs. Khadijah Anderson has been approved an Award Scholarship of Ninety Thousand Ghana Cedis (GH¢90,000.00) in cover of her tuition and accommodation and a monthly stipend of One Thousand Ghana Cedis (GH¢1,000.00) which is the equivalent of $14,634.00 and $163.00 respectively.
According to the statement, the payment was done upon receipt of proof of enrollment or an unconditional offer of admission from a College University.
Information gathered revealed that, the beneficiary was to start school at abroad 2021 but is still in Ghana and she is not attending any school as was stated in the letter.
Also, such beneficiary is the wife of the Mfantseman Municipal Municipal Chief Hon Ike Lord Ennu is on six Government of Ghana Payroll of which she is the Masloc Coordinator for the Ekumfi District Assembly.
Secondly, she is the Human Resources Officer for the Ajumako Enyan Essiam Government Hospital and also the School Feeding Monitoring Director for the Central, Western and Western North Regions.
Meanwhile, Residents in the Ekumfi District are wondering if the Ekumfi District Assembly is having such an amount of money due to the fact that many Students have been denied given them scholarships from the District Assembly all in the name of the Assembly not having money.
This has gotten many people in the Ekumfi District talking about saying the Ekumfi District Assembly are sharing the Assembly's money for their Families and Friends.
The District Chief Executive resumes Office in October, 2021 and approved such a Scholarship scheme in November which was too early according to the Residents.
Meanwhile, many people in the Ekumfi District are asking whether the Ekumfi District Assembly is having such an amount of money.
Report has revealed that the Assembly has denied sponsorship of many people in the Ekumfi District due to lack of funds to support the needy students.
The District Chief Executive for the Ekumfi District Assembly Hon. Ebenezer Monney has said, the money was approved by him but the Assembly was not able to pay such an amount to the person.
The District Chief said, the Assembly wasn't having such an amount of money so they didn't give it to her.
The Person as at now is in Ghana so they called such Scholarship off according to the DCE.
