Prior to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) national executive elections, National Vice Chairman hopeful McJewells J. Annan has picked the number 2 spot on the ballot sheet.
The party's elections commttee on Monday had the balloting session for members who have put themselves up for various positions ahead of the elections, slated for July 15, 2022.
Upon climaxing the exercise, Mr. Annan judging from his demeanor during an interview with AfricaNewsArenaGh.Com revealed he's very much content with his placed position on the ballot sheet, a spot he jokefully refers to as 2sure.
Speaking to Eric Annan in a brief conversation he said "I'm 2nd on the ballot paper, Glory be to God."
The man who is refered to many as a natural born peacemaker having personally specialized on local governance is widely known for his unifying gift, a tool he intends to help the party with in it's preparation towards the 2024 general elections; as the party has taken upon a slogan and an ambition of 'Breaking the 8'.
McJewells currently serves in parliament as ombudsman, a work he has handled for over 25years now, making him Ghana's longest serving parliamentary ombudsman, having graduated through the political party's ranks of once been a polling station secretary 29 years ago.
Mr. Annan through his selfless remarks became a Unit Committee Member at the Gomoa Fetteh electoral area, then an Assembly Member, Area Council Chairman, a DCE and Parliamentary Staffer and then became the NPP Secretary for the good people of Gomoa.
He once became one of the country's youngest ever MMDCES 14 years ago, then proceeded to become Chairman for the District Security Council (DISEC) that same year.
McJewells Annan as his achievement speaks volume equally once became the only Maths teacher at the Atebubu Training College in the year 1990-91 where he was then only 19years old.
