The theme for the 2022 Green Ghana Day is "Mobilizing For A Greener Future" as individuals, institutions are to pick up free seedlings from the Forestry Commission District Offices or other designated points nationwide.
MCE revealed that five thousand, five hundred (5,500) seedlings are expected to be planted within the Mfantseman Municipal but seven hundred (700) are to be planted today; including Ofram, Mahogany, Coconut, Cassia, Cedrella among others.
He called on the constituents to accept and support the initiative of H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in good fate. He further commended all the Institutional Heads within the municipality for their maximum support including the media.
Mr Ike Lord Ennu charged that, it's compulsory to make sure the seedlings are grown to expectations. He stressed that, "the seedlings are not to be sold, they are for free, people should be vigilant for not letting anyone lie to them and take their monies."

Speaking to AfricaNewsArenaGh.com the Chief of Biriwa who doubles as the Akobeahen of the Nkusukum Traditional Area and the Interim President, Nana Kwa Bonko V also commended the President Nana Akufo-Addo for the Green Ghana project of which twenty million (20,000,000) seedlings are expected to be planted across Ghana.
He further promised that Mfantseman Municipal is going to be the overall winner of this year's Green Ghana Day Project. #GetInvolved.
He reiterated that, the media should also help serve as watchdogs serving as underdogs to see how the trees are faring following some couple of months.
