"I'm In Shock, I Haven't Seen It Before" - Education Director Commends MP And Warns Parents

Mr Isaac Oscar Odoom, the District Director of Education for Ekumfi in the Central region who doubled as the Chairman of a short occasion held at Essarkyir Community Center has expressed shock over the thoughtful initiative pulled off within the limited space of time by the Member of Parliament, Abeiku Crentsil for supporting hundred (100) best Basic Education Certificate Examination candidates each with trunk and chop box filled with provisions and based on merit with cut off points from grade 6 to 15 for Private Schools and grade 6 to 20 for the Public Schools.

He emphasized the need for authorities to support the future of the district by investing in the youth whilst applauding the performance of the students this year. This initiative, he said "will serve as a motivation for students to learn hard since authorities in the district are ready to support them to further their education."

Mr Oscar Odoom in an interview with AfricaNewsArenaGh's Adom Nanaa Odiasempa Savvy further warned the parents/guardians over BECE school placement to be extra careful with middlemen. He urged them to see the headteachers for assistance if there is any.

The MP on his part acknowledging the current hardship said "something extraordinary ought to be done to alleviate same.' He did not stop short of pledging his support to 'help the constituents to attain higher height and today here we are."
 
One of the beneficiaries boldly went to the MC, Mr Fayah Acquah and explicitly stated profound gratitude on behalf of the students to Hon. Abeiku Crentsil, the Education Director, organizers of the programme and parents for making the programme a success and further pledged to learn hard to achieve their aims and aspiration in life.
