One of the happiest day in the lives of the residents of Saltpond Nakesedo in the Mfantseman Municipality of the Central Region, is the day 4-Boreholes was commissioned by Non Governmental Organization (NGO) named Welfare Education Water Trust (WEWT).
In an interview, Nana Baah of Nakesedo said, "we have been struggling to even find some water and it wasn't easy to even bath twice a day for awhile but today one of our problems is solved".
He urged and pleaded with the residents to take good care of the boreholes and there should be a culture of maintenance as he called on his community to mentor the big project done by Nana Atto Kwamina Asokomful, the Nkosohen of Nakesedo.
Nana Baah in his speech said, "the boreholes must be use accordingly, do not misuse if it, it's not the time to use it as a fitness centre", he warned.
He again expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Father John Fynn for leading the project to a successful end.
The leader of project, Mr John Fynn who handed over the boreholes to Nananom and the community at large in accordance stressed that, "this project is financed and gifted by Welfare Education Water Trust (WEWT) which is founded by Nana Atto Kwamina Asokomful the Nkosohen of Nakesedo".
He also appealed and pledged to the community to "take good care of the project because water is life and if it's well maintained, there will be another project", he assured.
