Acting President and Saanahen for the Anomabo Traditional Area, Nana Egyir Aggrey l has said that Anomaba as a community when delve into the history books of Ghana can confidently affirm that the country is no one's but for Anomabo.
He said this while throwing light on his contribution to the community's development so far throughout his 20years of enstoolment as a chief of Anomabo and on how he maneuvered his way around convincing former president John Agyekum Kuffour to allow the community emerge the town which turned to host Ghana's 50th anniversary.
Speaking as Omanhen of the Anomabo Traditional Area at the grand durbar of the Anomabo Okyir Festival 2022 on Saturday 8th October dubbed "Education And Discipline, Tool For Development" on the celebration of his 20th anniversary as Mpuntohen of the traditional area and his achievements to the ancient town, Nana Egyir Aggrey l who equally doubles as the owner of well acclaimed Blue Geans Energy Drink briefed, Ghana as a country would've been something else if not for the timely intervention of one Mr. Aikins Ferguson, a proud native of Anomabo who's behind the designing of the Ghana map.
He as well noted that it should be recalled it was the paramount Chief of this same Anomabo clan, Nana Amonoo Kantamanto lV who facilitated the bond of 1844 to be signed, hence his unflinching claim that "Ghana has its origins in Anomabo"

Adding to what Nana Aggrey had said, Member of Parliament (MP) for the Mfantseman Municipality, Hon. Ophelia Quansah Hayford touched on the aforementioned theme for this year's Okyir festival to advise the youths never to joke with their education, as it's their gateway to achieving all the bigger and greater things the future holds for them, which will as well go a long way to curb both the community and Central Region's teenage pregnancy rate which keeps increasing each year.
However, Nana Aggrey as affectionately called on his future plan and ambitions for Anomabo, assured the community of the establishment of an ultramodern Nursing and Midwifery Training College for the fishing community.
