The Chief of Anyinamean in the Krachi Nchumuru District of the Oti Region, Nana Nyasopo Anyiname lll has pleaded with parents and people living in Anyinamean to consider paying their ward's school fees as a matter of priority over buying of wealthy clothes for every celebration that comes their way.
The plea was made in an interview with Adom News reporter Odehyeba Owusu Job as part of his tour to the Anyinamean community to monitor the progress of education in the area during the celebration of the annual Yam Festival.
The discussion was about the Anyinamean community and challenges confronting the people living at Anyinamean and finally suggested solutions to help address the phenomenon.
The Chief of Anyinamean indicated that, the youth in a role-play portrayed how some parents would purchase deep-pocketed/expensive clothes for every event but would not pay the smallest amount of money needed for the education of their children.
He added that, "if parents refused to heed my advice given to them, these same wards will turn back and harm you in the society and the country at large and for that matter, take my advice in good fate."
