C/R: Jealous Man Butchers Friend, Cut Off His Arm For Giving Wife Gh¢5 To Prepare Meal | Details

A young man was severely injured with a machete and had one of his arms severed by the husband of a woman he had offered GH¢5 to purchase food for. The young man is currently in critical condition at the Our Lady of Grace Hospital in the Central Region.

The bloody incident, according to United TV, took place at Brema Kuntunasi in the Breman Asikuma Odoben Brakwa District.

The culprit, Akwesi Amisah, is also said to be in critical condition after being allegedly beaten by locals who then detained and turned him over to the police.

Police are keeping him under surveillance as he receives medical attention at the hospital while the event is being investigated.

According to reports, Amisah had told the victim to avoid his wife because he thought she might be having an affair.

His wife went to his workplace that fateful day to beg him for money to make meals, but she was unsuccessful in finding him. She then requested GH¢5, and the victim responded by giving her GH¢20 and asking her to give him back the change.

Amisah learned that the victim had given his wife money while he was away and was outraged. He grabbed a machete and jumped on the victim, butchering him horribly and leaving him in a serious state.

After being taken by ambulance to the hospital, the victim’s injuries were reportedly classified as severe by the medical staff.
