C/R: Girl,14,Turned Snake After Being Touched By Sakawa Boys During Inter-School Football Games

A 14-year-old girl has turned into snake-like after suspected sakawa boys touched her during an inter-school football competition at Ekumfi Ekrawful in the Ekumfi District of the Central Region.

Information gathered revealed that, the alleged Sakawa boys numbering about four during the school jubilation joined them in the evening and one of the suspect holds the victim's (name withheld) waist and immediately the 14-year-old girl collapsed and started turning into a snake according to the eyewitnesses account.

She was then rushed to the Ekumfi Ekrawful hospital but later referred to a Prayer Camp in the community where she was healed but now paralyzed as she nearly turned into a snake.

Speaking in an interview, the 14-year-old girl said, "we're jubilating through the principal street of the Ekumfi Ekrawful community after the games when about four young men approached me and what I saw next was at the community's prayer camp receiving deliverance.

She said, she got to know after the healing that, she nearly turned into a snake after the alleged Sakawa boys touched her.

According to her, the suspects after touching her placed a ring on one of his fingers which was suspected to be a money ritual.

Reaching the mother of the victim, Madam Naomi Afful also in an interview said, she was at the house when she got a distress call that her only daughter has collapsed and is turning into a snake. She quickly rushed to the scene only to find her daughter in a snake-like manner.

"She behaves on the ground like a Cobra, and we rushed her to the nearby Prayer Camp."

She advised parents to take good care of their wards, especially during school hours.

Some residents of the community also said, they are now leaving in fear and panic as a situation like this has never happened before in their community and this is the first time they have encountered such a strange thing in the community.

According to them, they are now afraid to send their wards, especially in the evening because something else may happen to them.

Meanwhile, the Prophetess the Twelve Apostle Church Obaatan Esi Bosuwa whom the victim was sent also expressed her shocking revelation. According to her, it took numerous interventions before she could turn things around, adding that the victim nearly turned into a snake since her soul was taken for money rituals.

She added that, she has never in her life healed such a strange thing before since she became a Prophetess.

The Chief of Ekumfi Ekrawful, Nana Gyabeng VIII also cautioned Ghanaians especially the youth to desist from engaging themselves in quick money and fight for jobs.

The Chief said, the entire community is afraid as fear and panic have engouled the community especially as they are heading towards their festival.

According to the Chief, they have invited the suspect to the Chief's palace for interrogation, adding that they will perform a sacrifice to drive sway any calamity that has been brought to the community.

Meanwhile, the case has also been reported to the Ekumfi Essuohyia Police Station for investigation.

No arrest has been made so far.
