16-Year-Old Boy Reportedly Drowns In Brafor Stream

A 16-year-old boy, Kwesi Akufo-Addo who is suspected to have drowned in a stream in Nkwanta in the Mfantseman Municipality of the Central region has been pulled off in the Brafor Stream.

This comes after the victim's friends, reported the case to the Nkwanta Unit Committee member, Mr Kwesi Amfoh on Monday, August 15, 2022 around 12pm.

Based on this complaint, the Unit Committee member and Okyeame Okanto proceeded to the scene. 

Speaking to AfricaNewsArenaGh's Nana Essandoh in an interview said, they had already led a search team to find the boy, but he was nowhere to be found, but the search team finally traced the victim after pouring of libation.

The teenager's body (Kwesi Akufo-Addo) was found in the water just before 6:25pm and recovered dead.

Information gathered reveals that the victim belittled the Brafor stream while fishing which has resulted his sudden desmise. 

The police personnel deployed to the scene have conveyed the deceased to the Saltpond Government Hospital for preservation.
