The National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) has achieved its target of universal healthcare delivery and increase its membership performance.
Addressing the media on Mid of year review performance of the scheme at UCC, the Central Regional Director of the Authority, Mr Fred Appiah outlined the readiness of the scheme to improve on the quality health care delivery in the region.
He noted, 78% of the targeted beneficiaries have been achieved.
He, therefore, cited some challenges confronting the Authority.
Speaking to Resource Person from University of Cape Coast, Dr Rebecca Dei Mensah urged the scheme managers to strengthen the relationship of the beneficiaries to make the scheme attractive and accessible for all.
In an interview with Gomoa West Director of NHIA Mr Eric Owusu Appiah called on the general public to register with the scheme for better Health care delivery.
