VIDEOS & PHOTOS: Residents Desperate As Parts Of Central Region Flooded After Hours Of Rainfall

Hours of rainfall has caused flooding in the township of Mankessim and other parts of the Central region.

The situation has left residents stranded, unable to go about their normal duties.

Mr Frank Owusu, the Director for the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) in the Mfantseman Municipal of the Central region and his crew paid a courtesy visit to victims of the affected area.

Areas that were severely affected were Mankessim, Baifikrom and other areas in the Mfantseman Municipality include Edumadze, Old Nkusukum, New Nkusukum, Abonko, Estate and parts of Ohwirifa.

At Mankessim, the flood covered the inner city roads, where vehicles were trapped, leading to a long traffic jam.
