Include Husband's In Your SSNIT Benefit Forms - NPRA Boss To Wives

The National Pension and Regulatory Authority (NPRA) has organized pension's awareness meeting for institutional heads in the Central Region to ensure full participation of formal and informal sector workers in the national pension scheme and guarantee their income security after retirement.

The meeting which held in Cape Coast was targeted to help create awareness on pensions and provide a platform for engaging stakeholders in the development of Ghana's pensions industry.

At the meeting, the Takoradi Assistant manager for corporate affairs Mr. Seth Sackey emphasized the need for wives to include husbands in their Social Security Network Insurance Trust (SSNIT) benefit forms.

He disclosed that, it is very pathetic to see wive's SSNIT contribution plan with all her children having their share but excluding the husband which must not be so.

He further noted that SSNIT contribution is not for husbands alone, hence appealed to the wives to follow suite by contributing to paying their SSNIT as well.

Speaking with Eric Annan in an interview to AfricaNewsArenaGh.Com, he stressed that, as far as SSNIT contribution is concerned, wives  must respect their husbands  since they sometimes change their SSNIT contribution plan to exclude the wife due to small family problems.

He then urged husbands to be patience with regards to their means of resolving family issues, stressing they shouldn't exclude their wives either in their SSNIT contribution plans as well.
