Medeama SC winger Zakaria Mumuni has been discharged from the hospital after suffering a serious concussion in their midweek Ghana Premier League game against Berekum Chelsea.
The veteran midfielder was stretchered off in the 20th minute after a fierce collision with Berekum Chelsea midfielder Edwin Kuffour which left him unconscious.
Medics at the grounds had to perform CPR on him for minutes before he was driven away in an ambulance to the hospital for treatment.
In the said game Medeama SC managed to get themselves a goalless draw at the Golden City Park in their match day 29 Ghana Premier League last Wednesday.
The veteran winger was replaced by Medeama youngster Ebenezer Ackhabi in the game which was barren.
After the match the entire Medeama squad paid a visit to the stricken player before the returned to Tarkwa.
The player who gained consciousness at the hospital is now in a stable condition and has now been discharged but the Great Olympics game will come too soon for him.
Medeama are third in the Ghana Premier League and will now play against Great Olympics at Tarkwa.
