Saltpond Government Hospital in the Mfantseman Municipality of the Central region has received support from the Ghana Muslim Mission (GMM) and Philanthropist, Dr Ahmed Ikhlaas of Charitable Society.
They supported the hospital with twelve ceiling fans, accessories and also an undisclosed amount of money to be used to fix the donated items as a matter of urgency at the Maternity Block of the Saltpond Government Hospital.
Speaking to Agyei Kwaku Mensah, one of the Imams of the Ghana Muslim Mission who is also the director of Ikhlaas Charitable Society, Sheikh Jibril Abdailah Donkoh said, the donation was made by the Ghana Muslim Mission under the leadership of Dr Ahmed and advised the authorities of the hospital and the mothers who will benefit from the donated items to make good use of it.
The Nurse Manager of the Saltpond Government Hospital who received the items on behalf of the hospital, Madam Gladys Appau expressed her heartfelt appreciation for the gesture and appealed to other individuals to come to their aid to curb the current challenges they are facing.
The Administrative Secretary of Ghana Muslim Mission in the Central region, Mohammed Donkoh on his part advised all Ghanaians to do the little they can to help build the nation.
