Report indicates that, a tanker fully loaded with palm oil from Cape Coast to Accra has caused many casualties without the driver's attention as the palm oil spreads all over the road in about 6km in distance.
According to report eight (8) vehicles, including commercial cars has involved in a gory accident on the Mankessim-Cape Coast Highway leaving other in critical condition.
The injured are said to have sustained various degrees of injuries in the crash and are at the Municipal Government Hospital at Saltpond receiving treatment.
Report gathered indicates that, no death recorded as at report.
The tanker's driver has been arrested and he is in the police custody at Saltpond, Mfantseman Municipal Capital as the tanker has been towed to the Saltpond Police Division pending further investigations.
In an interview with one of the drivers whose name was given as Deniel Mensah at the accident scene shared his side of the story.
The MTTD department of the police, NADMO and Fire Service personnel have been deployed at the scene ensuring safety protocols.
Reaching the Municipal Fire Commander, DO3 Winifred Bonney pleaded that, the drivers ploughing through Mankessim-Cape Coast highway should slow down in order to avoid further occurances.
