The nominee had 46 of the total votes cast, a figure that represented 100% of the valid votes in an election conducted by the District Electoral Commission.

The new DCE in his acceptance speech thanked the President for the confidence reposed in him to serve the people of the AOB District.

He gave the assurance that, he will work hand in hand with the immediate past DCE Madam Aba Hagan in embarking on various projects initiated by the outgoing DCE for the betterment of the Asikuma Odoben Brakwa District.

“We have a collective duty, a duty which should see no barrier and devoid of partisanship to involve all stakeholders in our effort to serve the people of the District.

I therefore humbly call on all those who have a stake and capacity in the development of the District to eschew any personal and partisan interest and bring their competencies on board for services to improve the lives of our people,” he hinted.

He also called on other aspirants who applied for the DCE position to “be in readiness for us to team up with the ideas and efforts to build a healthy Asikuma Odoben Brakwa”.

“I am poised to serve with a strong team to leave a legacy in the AOB Assembly, a legacy which would be pursued to make all Assembly members feel beloved and motivated to contribute to the mission and vision of the Assembly without discrimination,” he added.
