Defeat Of The Incumbent Chairman Good Omen For The Association - Elected Chairman Laments

Renowned Chairman at the Mankessim Timber Market Association of Ghana in the Mfantseman Municipality of the Central Region, Mr Bismarck Eshirow Nyarko, has said the defeat of the incumbent Chairman after the just ended Mankessim Timber Market Association election is a good omen in terms of representation in association's name as it serves as a warning that the foremost function of a Chairmanship, is representation.


According to him, the defeat of incumbent Chairman, Mr Isaac Ewusi Mohammed would have been loose his seat if he had been protected by the association to go unopposed. Saying 'what you sow is what you will reap", he stressed.

Speaking in an interview with AfricaNewsArenaGh, Mr Eshirow in regards to the incumbent losing the seat, he said first act of a legislature should be in the interest of the people who voted for them to be their voice in Mankessim Timber Market Association in every associations' meetings.

He explained, “the idea of chairmanship representation simply to act in a manner responsive to the interest of members. Chairmanships are therefore to act first in the interest of those who voted for them to attain the seat and also consult individuals in their decision-making on matters that directly bothers the association".

The newly elected Chairman for Mankessim Timber Market Association, Mr Bismarck Eshirow Nyarko congratulates the members and the contestants for a peaceful election as he further urged and appealed to the elected Executive Members to corporate in maintaining the unity, sanitation and the welfare of each other.
