C/R: Residents Jubilate As MP, Others Commission Six Unit Classroom Block

Residents jubilate over a six unit classroom block that has been handed over to the Municipal Education Director, Nananom and the Headmaster of Akropong M/A Basic School at Abeadze Akropong in the Mfantseman Municipality of Central Region as students are made to study under old wooden structure for a whole long.

Speaking to the media at the program, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Mfantseman Constituency, Hon Ophelia Mensah Hayford is worried at the condition that, her Late husband, Hon Ekow Kwansah Hayford should have been in the best position today to commission this project but this six unit classroom block cannot be commissioned without acknowledging him, she emphasized.

Hon Ophelia on the other hand urged the students to be serious with their studies in order to get better results especially 'As' in all subjects as Staff are extremely delighted with the grades their students had in the current BECE exams.

The Municipality Chief Executive (MCE), Hon Kenneth Kelly Essuman also stressed that, the authorities in charge as the project is handed over to them must take good care as they serve as watchdogs.

"How you handle this six unit classroom block will determine whether you may have Information Communication and Technology (ICT) Centre or not", MCE hinted.

The Odikro of Abeadze Akropong, Nana Kwesi Ansah Broni (V) promised that, they will take good care of the project to obtain more. He therefore pleaded with the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, MCE, MP, Municipal Education Director and other corperate bodies to come to their aid build JHS block as well.

The headteacher of Akropong M/A Basic School at Abeadze Akropong in Mfantseman Municipality, Mr Broni Eyram thanked the dignitaries and individuals who graced the occasion but also calls for implementation of school feeding program. 

He complains bitterly at the rate students sometimes go to farm when they are on break for their launch which is so appalling and it is a challenge as they always return late and some of them do not return at all.
