28 SCHOOLS BENEFITED AS MP DONATES 560 DESKS WITHIN HER CONSTITUENCY

The member of parliament for Mfantseman Constituency in the Central Region, Hon Ophelia Mensah has today donated 560 desks to 28 schools within Mfantseman Constituency.

Speaking to the media, Hon Ophelia Mensah said donation of the 560 desks to 28 schools of Mfantseman Constituency will encourage and release some tension from the students making learning a bit easier in a way.

She said the main crisis in which some of  the schools in this country are facing is inadequate of school desks and that have been one of the challenges facing the schools in the Municipality and we need to address it once and for all.

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon Kenneth Kelly Essuman also added that, the presentation of the desks is in collaboration with the Municipal Assembly due to the scarcity of desks in various schools in Ghana. Through the corporate responsibility of the MP, MCE, Assembly and the Education Directorate presented 150 mono and 280 dual desks for upper primary and JHS and 130 hexagonal desks for KG.
