MCE SITS ON ABANDONED MARKET MONEY - 1ST VICE CHAIRMAN REVEALED

The First Vice Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) of Mfantseman Municipality in the Central Region, Mr Berchie-Nuako popularly known as Wofa Yaw, has bitterly lamented on the current state of an abandoned Ajumako Taxi Rank, a proposed place for construction of market at Mankessim which was one of the initiatives of His Excellency, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

Speaking to Adom Nanaa Odiasempa Savvy following the current state of the abandoned market, Wofa Yaw accused the MCE, Honourable Kenneth Kelly Essuman that, he was unable to release the estimated amount given to him by the contractor to compensate the affected persons in order for the project to continue.

"The contractor gave the money to Honourable Essuman even before the 2020 General Election but he has not release the expected amount to the affected persons as at yesterday, 16th February, 2021 around 10:00am in the morning", Wofa Yaw bitterly stressed.

"The contractor is ever ready to start his work but unless the affected persons exoculate, the project cannot start and without emphasizing and stressing on him yesterday, I am sure the MCE was not ready to give out the money but I am yet to confirm whether the affected persons have received the money", he revealed.

The citizens of Mfantseman are now appealing to the government that, never again should he mention Honourable K. K. Essuman's name as the MCE for Mfantseman because he did not contributes to the development of Mfantseman Municipality and they do not even want him as MCE.
