A section of the supporters of Asante Kotoko who are on their way to Kumasi for this afternoon’s Ghana Premier League game with Berekum Chelsea at the Baba Yara Stadium have been involved in an accident.
According to reports, there were no lived lost in the unfortunate incident but some of the fans have sustained various degree of injuries.
As it stands now, it is unclear to give a distinctive explanation as to how the accident occurred but we understand the said incident happened at the Bunso-Apedwa stretch on the Accra road.
Those who sustained serious injuries are currently receiving treatment at the Akyem Asafo Health Center.
This is the second time members of the Kotoko fraternity have been involved in an accident on the Accra-Kumasi road with the first one being last year after their defeat to Inter Allies.
