Reports gathered by AfricaNewsArenaGh's reporters has it that four suspected kidnappers have been arrested at Abirem in the Ekumfi District of the Central region.

Speaking in the interview, the Youth Leader of the Abirem community, Mr Twereboah Koduah lamented that, the rate of criminal activity in the Ekumfi District has increased and the alleged suspects made an attempt to kidnap three children aged 12, 14 and 15 years in a forest trying to kill them.

The Youth Leader was on his way from his farm when he heard a lot of noise screaming; "they're killing us".
He then rush to the bush and further made all efforts to get support from the town in order to rescue the three male children.  

Following several calls, he mobilized the youth in the Abirem community which led to the arrested of the four suspects. 
They were conveyed to the chief's palace and turned over to police whiles an investigation has been launched.

Reaching one of the eyewitnesses, Madam Mary commended the Youth of Ekumfi Abirem for being serious to protect their community against criminal activities.

"We're using this opportunity to plead with the Ghana Police Service to make sure there is justice if the alleged suspects are found guilty in the sense that, the rate of criminal activities in the Ekumfi District is uncalled for."
