Nkyidomhen Calls For End Of Chieftaincy Litigations In Mankessim

To give way for peace and stability, and speed up development, the Odikro and Nkyidomhen of Mankessim Traditional Area, Nana Kwaa Annan IX has called on the various stools to ensure that they follow tradition and be truthful and resolve in the selection of a successor to avoid the numerous chieftaincy litigations going on in Mankessim, during the celebration of his "AGUADOTO" and launching of the YAMO festival.

He attributes the lack of peace, unity and underdevelopment in Mankessim Traditional Area to numerous chieftaincy litigations going on.

"Mankessim the capital town of Borbor Fante should be rubbing shoulders with other traditional capital cities but lacking behind in terms of development due to numerous chieftaincy litigations," he said.

To him this has led to youth unemployment in the area and has turned some of our youth to alcoholism and drug abusers.

Nana Kwaa Annan IX also advised the youth to stay away from alcohol, drugs and any illegal activities that will land them into trouble and rather be law abiding.

This year's Yamo festival which will take place in the first week of September is themed; "BOUNCING BACK TOGETHER THROUGH QUALITY EDUCATION".
