The Central Regional Minister, Hon. Justina Marigold Assan on Thursday, July 28 at the Adisadel School Park (Cape Coast) couldn't control her excitement as she got wet with amusement following her discovery of one physically challenged artist named Joel Acheampong who despite his incapacitated stature of having both legs and hands not working still designs amazing art paintings using his mouth.
The artist who hails from Gomoa Ohyadze in the Gomoa West District in the Central Region of Ghana at the region's Central Expo 2022 which is a five day strategically organized exhibition fair by the Regional Coordinating Council, aimed at showcasing talented but low publicised entrepreneurial entities across the region's 23 constituencies and also serve as an investment platform to potential investors to patronize the region if the need be for a place to invest won the heart and applauds of all who gathered at the event centre (Adisadel College School Park) with his clone paintings of the Regional Minister, His Excellency the President Nana Addo, his wife Madam Rebecca Akufo-Addo and his veep Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia.
Mr. Joel AcheampongThe overjoyous Minister who upon meeting the naturally endowed but physically challenged artist for the first time having probed to discover some prioritized needs of his voiced;
"My excitement throughout this program has escalate following the addition of this amazing master piece by our very own from the Central Region, because looking at how incapacitated our brother Joel is but didn't allow his situation get the better side of him but allowed himself to be used by God to glorify us this way signifies how great our God is."
"Having said that, l will like to emphasize that as it is your vision to own your personal art studio will together with the Assembly ensure such vision come to reality," Hon. Marigold Assan assured.
Meanwhile the District Chief Executive (DCE) of Gomoa West District, Hon. Baasi Nkum speaking to Eric Annan in an interview with AfricaNewsArenaGh vouched to do all he can to see Joel become one of the richest men in his District in some few years to come with his artistic talent to propel colleague disables follow the steps the artist he said.
Married to Madam Ruth Umalayi with three children, Mr. Joel Acheampong's long toil and suffering as an artist seems to finally pay dividend following the Central Regional Minister's promise in her submission to introduce him to the President when he finally alight in the Region come September 2 this year for further assistance.
