FA Cup Quarter Final: Aduana Stars Defeat King Faisal In A Five Goal Thriller To Secure Semi Final Berth

Aduana Stars are through to the next stage of the MTN FA Cup after recording a 3-2 triumph over King Faisal in the quarter final at the Nana Agyemang Badu II Stadium.

Both teams started the game on a very lower note especially in the early stages with the host having a slight dominance over their opponents.

Aduana Stars constant pressure finally yielded them a penalty on the 20th minute. Sam Adams stepped up and scored nicely to open the scoring account.

King Faisal looked really off especially in the opening 30 minutes, having struggled in anything they have attempted so far and had made no any dangerous incursions on goal.

The homesters with another sweet build up to double their lead on the 26th minute through Abdul Manaf Mudasiru who has now scored two goals in his last two outings in the league cup.

Just four minutes after, young sensation Zubairu Ibrahim made a sweet serging run and scored with a fine finish to pull one back for King Faisal.

In the second half, the travellers stepped in really stronger and wanted to continue with how they ended the first phase but the resilient defence of Aduana Stars prevented that early fire ammunition.

However, the early goal they were hunting for rather fell in the way of the host who found the back of the net again through Emmanuel Gyamfi to make it 3-1.

In the latter part, club top scorer, Ibrahim Osman came off the bench to score in additional time but wasn't enough for the 'Insha Allah' lads who lost by 3-2 after full time.

It is the end of the road for King Faisal in the FA Cup, whiles Aduana Stars cruise into semis.
