NPP not only shed 37 seats in parliament to at par with their NDC opponents, President Akufo-Addo also lost hundreds of thousands of his 2016 popular majority. In both cases, voters did not necessarily vote for the NDC, rather, they abstained from voting at-all.
We have waited patiently for NPP executives across Ghana to conduct an aftermath of post-2020 elections survey to establish why our performance was so abysmal, yet instead, a countrywide tour to lure constituency executives to vote elect Bawumia, John Boadu et-al as post-Akufo-Addo NPP leader, and retain John Boadu as General Secretary was their agenda.
It is therefore very childish and indeed risible for a whole Party communication director to lament and bemoan his Party having lost itself majority.
It is not only to shock Yaw Buaben Asamoa, it will electrify and electrocute him in the 2024 elections.
NPP executives under Akufo-Addo leadership and presidency have become out of touch, and in fact untouchable. These are the same people who approach voters with humility, and now, they are very haughty and arrogant.
To say the least, Ghana is grossly mismanaged with arduous tax systems introduced so-called "super economists of world renowned"
Yaw Buaben Asamoa and all NPP executives have, out of serville sycophancy and flattery been singing praises of a wretched Akufo-Addo administration in order to earn a good living and enjoy a lavish lifestyle that they would never be able to afford on their own.
Corruption under an Akufo-Addo/Bawumia-led administration has skyrocketed, yet they feel not the least shame and regret.
There are over ten Akufo-Addo government proposals that have been forced to be dropped, including the noxious LGBT bill, the e-levy bill, etc, and even more to come to be counted.
No government, since independence has been so nepotistic, sectionalist, and inward looking as this Akufo-Addo administration.
The last straw that broke the monkey's spine was the imposition and foisting of rejected parliamentary candidates on constituents, yet NPP has learned no lessons from it, and keep persistently to impose Bawumia as NPP leader and presidential candidate for the 2024 general and presidential elections.
Verily verily I suggest that it is only the inane who do not learn bitter, dangerous and perilous lessons until until they are consumed in them.
It is therefore more than likely that if NPP executives do not desist from their untoward conduct of affairs in the Party, shock we have passed the shock warning stage, the imminent next will be electrocution.
