Former Aspiring MP Donates To Over 400 Physical Disabilities And Visually Impaired Persons


Honourable Amos Fiifi Arhin who is one of the aspirants cleared to contest for the position as Member of Parliament (MP) for good and law abiding of Abura Asebu Kwamankese (AAK) constituency in the 2019 National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Primaries, as part of his social and corporate responsibilities has donated to over four hundred (400) physical disabilities and visually impaired persons.

Some personalities at the short event were the Chairman of the day, Nana Appiah Serebo, the Chief of Abura Aboase, Nana Asokwa Kwegyir II, Chief of Abura Dunkwa, Mrs Yvonne Kwarah, Social Welfare Director, Pastor Kofi Edu, among other dignitaries.

The beneficiaries received an undisclosed amount of money sealed in a white envelope, assorted soft drinks and other assorted food items including cooked foods for the celebration of the Christmas and New Year eve.
Mr Arhin expressed that, "it is not that you don't have what you will eat in your homes but it's time to have a get to together party during this festive season."
He encouraged the beneficiaries with the saying, 'disability is not inability'. He also pleaded with the parents and guardians to take very good care in order to accomplish God's purpose for the lives of the beneficiaries.

He added that, "today's meeting does not end here' but promised to support the beneficiaries in several ways."

The Chief of Abura Dunkwa, Nana Asokwa Kwegyir II disclosed that, "report any person or persons who in one way or other try to play down with your disability to be dealt with. The Chiefs of Abura Asebu Kwamankese Traditional Area has lay down by-laws fighting for the right and freedom of physical disabilities and visually impaired persons."

The Chairman of Ghana Federation of Disability for AAK constituency, Mr Albert Cobbinah on behalf of the beneficiaries and association expressed their heartfelt appreciation and called on God's blessings upon Hon. Amos Fiifi Arhin for such kind gesture.
