Regional Chairman hopeful for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Bono East region Mr Ibrahim Bukari Baba a.k.a Chairman IB was honoured by the Techiman Traditional Council for his individualistic support he gave during the creation of of the Bono East region in 2019.
Bono East was part of the 6 new regions created by the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo led NPP government in 2019 which now makes the regions in Ghana up to 16.
The Bono East region was carved out of the Brong and Ahafo region.
The Techiman Traditional Council in collaboration with Ecom Groups and Fzeini Trading Company Limited have honoured some persons, individuals, groups for their massive support given to the Traditional Leaders to be able to get a region and Techiman the Regional capital.
The nineteen (19) Paramount Chiefs that form the Bono East region has unanimously eulogized the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo led NPP government for carving them out of the former Brong Ahafo region in February 2019 with the main aim of evenly distributing developmental projects to every corner of the country as far as sharing of the national cake is concerned.
Oseadeeyo Akumfi Ameyaw IV, Omanhene of Techiman Traditional Area, a member of Council of State on behalf of Nananom made commendation, called on residents especially the youth to take their education seriously to become productive labor force who will benefit from the government's programs and projects.
Mr. Ibrahim Bukari Baba a.k.a Chairman IB who received an excellent award for his individual contribution to the creation of the region in an interview with the media pleaded with the youth not to let the toil of Nananom be in vain.
Chairman urged all the NPP delegates in the Bono East region to support him get the Chairmanship of the party because he is a unique and unifier who helped the party to win all the Parliamentary seats in the region and also help the party national agenda, BreakingThe8.
In order for the party to break the 8, then, the party needs people like him and others who will help in making the agenda a reality.
