A 13-year-old student of the Baifikrom M/A 'A' Basic School in the Mfantseman Municipality of the Central Region has been drowned in the Ochie River around 12:00GMT.
Body of Kwame Techiman is still being searched for by search parties.
In an interview with Maame Esi, the caretaker of the victim, Kwame Techiman disclose that, "Kwame I know was washing but just to hear this sadden news at my doorstep that, he is drowned."
She further expressed that, Kwame's failure to pay attention to her instruction has landed him and the entire family in a tragedy.
A member of the search party currently at the riverside said the team is still trying to recover the body.
Reaching one of the youth leaders of Baifikrom, Nana Beyin Jnr also pleaded with the parents to advice their children to avoid such inconveniences.
