According to the Chairman of the State Council's Meeting, Obrempong Nyanful Krampah XI, the Paramount Chief of Gomoa Ajumako Traditional Council in his revealed that, Akwambo Kesse festival will not be celebrated in the usual ways.
"Due to COVID-19, the Akwambo Kesse will not be celebrated in the usual ways. It has been postponed to the following year. But Nananom will join Obrempong to pray and offer sacrifices to the gods at Apemadze and the various shrines on its due time."
"Nananom have to come in their numbers in their usual attire. We should all convey at the Palace by 6:00GMT and match from the Palace as usual," Obrempong urged to Nananom.
The State Council therefore called on the law and abiding citizens of Gomoa Ajumako Traditional Area to note how this year's Akwambo Kesse will be celebrated.
