C/R: Suspected Armed Robber Arrested, 2 Stabbed

A man, 20, suspected to be an armed robber has been arrested by neighbours and handed off to the Police Division at Saltpond, the municipal capital of Mfantseman constituency in the Central Region.

The incident which happened around 12 midnight following a heavy downpour of rain has landed two persons at the hospital receiving treatment including one of the victims who was robbed.

In an interview with the eyewitness (Godfred) stressed that, the suspect whose name was given as Michael Eduah "went to the house next to ours in Nankesido at Saltpond, took a guy’s laptop and entered another room for robbery where the man (Brother Joe) was asleep on his chair, hence, a noise wake him up just to see the suspect busily on operation.

However, the very moment Brother Joe woke up, Michael Eduah realized and rushed him with a knife following a threat to stab him if he fails to keep mute and this made Joe scared," Godfred narrated.

He further disclosed that, while the suspect was leaving the room, the man who was robbed rushed him which was resulted in a serious struggling with several wounds on his body. The first neighbour to be at the scene was also stabbed with the knife in his left arm.
Other residents later came to the scene which led to the arrested of the suspected armed robbery confessing the numerous operations done following several interrogations.

Some of the residents went with Michael Eduah's room and saw he has mounted a shrine in his room with a lot of deities which has blood on them and that was where he has placed the stolen laptop and other stolen items.

The suspected robber is in the Police custody at Saltpond following further investigation.
