"We Won't Contribute To The Building Of The National Cathedral" - Residents To Nana Addo

In response to the Mid-Year-Budget, some residents have expressed their concerns on the building of the National Cathedral as said by the Minister of Finance, Honourable Ken Ofori-Atta which states that, "each Ghanaian must support the building of the Cathedral with GH¢100.00 per month".

According to the residents of Central Region particularly Mankessim in the Mfantseman Municipality to be precise said, "we have our various Conference Centres for our programs of which Leaders of the various churches host their conventions, conferences and other meetings".

Reaching the GPRTU branch at Mankessim, they also stressed stating that, "most of us are drivers and mates and have not even gotten passengers to even board our vehicles, so how can we raise such fund to support the project the government had planned to do".

Speaking in an interview with AfricaNewsArenaGh's Manasseh Asmah Nyarkoh, they hence appealed to the government that, it will be advisable for H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and his government to put a stop to that initiative as they have been worshipping in their various Conference Centres and have not requested such project from him, they added.
