The Central Regional Health Directorate has also launched 2021 World Pre-eclampsia Day at Saltpond in the Mfantseman Municipality of Central Region to educate pregnant women during their nine(9) months season at Saltpond Government Hospital.
Madam Efua Sarpong, the founder and leader of Efua Sarpong Foundation who also sponsored the program gave an account on her experience to pre-eclampsia when she lost her eight (8) months child in the development and further pleads with pregnant women to regularly visit antenatal Care Clinic during such period.
The Queenmother of Anomabo Traditional Area, Nana Mbroba Dabo (I) in an interview said, the progarm was very educative and it has really educate those who were present especially the pregnant women and nananom and as opinion leaders, they have to see to it that the pregnant women are very healthy and safe during labour.
The Central Regional Minister, Hon. Justina Marigold Assan also revealed that, she is so delighted not to see only pregnant women but the men were also present at the program.
"It is so important that as men, you support the woman to go through this process, nine months journey is not easy, if you are pregnant and your man takes you to Antenatal Care Clinic or delivery room, you feel so good and I know the process to put to birth is also so smooth", she charged.
She hence encourage the men to continue to support the women in that direction and she believes the message will sit well with them and support women to go through this process beautifully.
