The 60years and over Resourceful Teachers' Credit Union (RTCCU) has held 14th Annual General Meeting (14th A.G.M) at Assemblies Of God Theological Seminary - Kormantse in the Mfantseman Municipality of Central Region.
Speaking to the media on the theme, "RTCCU In Retrospect: Measuring Impacts Telling Our Stories, Bracing Up The Future", the Board Chairman for Ajumako Teachers' Co-operative Credit Union who also doubles as the Chapter Executive Member, Mr Gamady Semanu M. K, stressed that, the Credit Union has really help government workers especially Teachers and they are now aiming to make it widely known to individuals but not only government workers.
Mr Gamady on the other hand pleaded that, the government should lay down proper measures, accept and approve the Co-operative Art which is on the way to parliament in order to amend that of the 1968's for Credit Unions to operate and serve Ghanaians at large.
"What makes Credit Union different is that, we have low interest rate in terms of loans and once you go for a loan, you are secured with an insurance policy whenever there is an emergency", he emphasized.
The Board Chairman for Resourceful Teachers' Credit Union (RTCCU), Mr Alex Kojo Appiah, who retained his seat after the election also lamented on the rampant withdrawal during the pandemic of the viral Coronavirus last year but things are now okay and urged to solicits the views of the committees and the other Board Members to the benefit of all.
