The largest opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has in a crucial election which lasted for about 48hours elected new executives to lead the party at the constituency level ahead of the 2022 general elections.
Addressing NDC members at the Mankessim Senior High/Technical School (MANSTECH) in Mankessim, the re-elected NDC Mfantseman Constituency Chairman, Frederick Budu-Hagan, asked party members to stop the media war and channel such energies into helping efforts aimed at snatching power from the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the upcoming 2024 general elections.
The event, which took place at MANSTECH on Sunday, October 23, 2022 had many dignitaries gracing it with their presence.
The incumbent constituency Chairman, Frederick Budu-Hagan polled 839 votes whilst his contenders, Emmanuel Brew polled 234 votes, Nasir Ahmad Bin Adams had 260 votes and Felix Kwesi Abban also polled 517 votes.
The supporters of the defeated aspirants had their hearts broken whilst the supporters of the victors were in an absolute frenzy.
Reaching some of the contenders in an interview with AfricaNewsArenaGh's Adom Nanaa Odiasempa Savvy expressed their heartfelt appreciation and congratulated all apirants, the Constituency Party Executives and the delegates as they preached unity and peace after the constituency elections.
