Residents are in fear after an early morning head-on collision at Mankessim in the Mfantseman Municipality of the Central Region.
Speaking to AfricaNewsArenaGh's Adom Nanaa Odiasempa Savvy, the eyewitnesses revealed that, the head-on collision was as a result of double parking.
The driver of the vehicle with a foreign registration number AR 6196 MD lost control and veering into a 52,000 LTS tanker with registration number GT 7219 - 17 in the early hours of Tuesday, September 13, 2022.
Officers of the Motor Traffic Transport Department (MMTD), Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) and Ghana Ambulance Service were called to the scene and they helped rescue the vehicles to avoid explosion.
The route (Accra-Cape Coast highway) is one of the busiest highways in the country.
