"The Cedi Has Arrested Bawumia And Has Given The Keys To IMF" - NDC Communicator Laments

Mr Mensah Rexford, a teacher and a member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Communication Team in the Central Region has pronounced that, the cedi has arrested the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia and has handover the keys to the IMF.

He made this statement as a panel member on the ticket of NDC on the royal station Obrumankoma 100.7FM at Mankessim Anopahemaa Morning Show hosted by Nana Beyin Jnr monitored by AfricaNewsArenaGh.com news portal.

According to Mr Mensah Rexford reiterating the comment passed by Dr Bawumia years ago said, “When we came in, the cedi was running, essentially we have arrested it [cedi], and the IGP has the keys, he’s locked it up, we want to make sure we pursue sound policies to keep the cedi stable, it has appreciated for this year.“ 

“Inflation has come down from 15.4 percent when we came into office to 12.8 percent now and we’ve restored confidence in the macro economy by anchoring fiscal policy on credibility, clarity and transparency.”

Mr Mensah emphatically stated, "today, the cedi has arrested Dr Bawumia and has given the keys to the IMF, adding that it's very difficult to defend NPP at this time."

He further called on Ghanaians that the NPP has nothing new to offer hence urged them to massively vote for the NDC come 2024 General Elections.
