Nananom Joins The Call To Reshuffle Ministers

Buoyem Benkumhene Nana Ameyaw Antwi Boasiako II has called on President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to evaluate, and reshuffle his ministers to ensure his vision for the country is achieved without any hindrance.

According to him, the government must reshuffle some of his ministers to ensure effective governance and also ensure distributing development fairly without any challenges.
Many groups including some NPP faithfuls have called on the President to reshuffle in his government to ensure development.

The New Patriotic Party’s Volta Regional Recourse group has called on President Akufo-Addo to consider reshuffling his ministers who they say are becoming complacent and seen to be acting with impunity in some situations.

The advisory group, which is made up of known senior members of the Patriotic Party in the Volta Region, says the time is right for the introduction of fresh energy and ideas into the various ministries to help the party win the 2024 general elections.
Also a Governance Think-Tank, Centre for Greater Impact Africa (CGIA) has reiterated that President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo should evaluate, and reshuffle his ministers to ensure his vision for the country is achieved without any hindrance.

Speaking to the media, Nana Ameyaw Antwi Boasiako stressed that the President must take the bold step to introduce newer men and women of integrity with the zeal to hit the ground running into the government.
He, who is also an advocacy for governance said, a feasibility study conducted revealed that some of the Ministers were performing below standard and therefore was working against the interest of the government; adding that these ministers in the current administration has the ambition to become a flagbearer after the president tenure of office come to an end in 2024, he sighted some of these persons: Agric Minister (Dr. Afriyie Akoto), Trade Minister (Hon Allan John Kwadwo Kyeremeteng), Road Minister (Hon Amoako Atta).

According to Nana Ameyaw Antwi Boasiako, he the President implemented some agriculture programmes in 2017 and these programmes are effective when the minister in charge was focus and dedicated to the work but now due to his ambition for leading the party come 2024, he verge away from performing his duties while busy doing campaign towards his candidature for NPP and this is very bad for the nation because not everyone in the country is an NPP person and is better he resign from his ministry position and focus on his ambition.
Road Minister has caused financial lost to the state and he must be hold accountable to pay for every money that the nation has lost through the cancelation of Road Tolls.

He further lamented that the government has declared 2021 a year of roads but the expected roads were constructed and the President declared 2022 as year of road but nothing has been done as expected and all these are factors that need the Honorable Minister resignation or the President should reshuffle him to allow someone that can do the work for his replacement.

"The President must be bold and act on his powers to remove everyone in his government who is not performing to satisfaction of him and the nation."
