I hereby respectfully thank all the above personalities, more especially to all delegates, the press, the police and the entire National Patriotic Party (NPP) members for a successful Conference.
Having amassed a total number of 155 votes casted in my favour from all 16 Region's, MMDCE's, Hon. Members of Parliament, Ministers of State, Diaspora or Foreign Branches and others, saw me had more votes than what delegates gave to my fellow 18 candidates, a deed I highly appreciate as these candidates include;
Prof. Akumfi (Ex-Minister of State, Ex-Vice Chancellor, Ex-Dean of Zoology, etc) who had a total vote of 101, Hon. Osei Adjei (an Ex-Foreign Affairs Minister) had 20 votes, Idrisu Musah amassed a total number of 104 votes, Mr. Agyeman Prempeh 8votes, Hon. Opare Ansah (a former Member of Parliament and an Ex- Minister; though stand to be corrected) got 50 votes, as Dr. Yusif Tedam (son to an NPP big man) also had 125 votes.
Mr. Essilfie Kumi equally had a number of 137 votes, Adu Agyei got 25 votes, Nana Owusu Fordjour had 44 votes, Ellen A. Say 9 votes, Hajia Sawudatu 32 votes, Mikel O. Boateng amassed 120 votes, Haruna Maiga had 5 votes, Abdul Rahman got a total of 2 votes, Awal Mohamed 24 votes, as Suleiman Alhassan also had a total of 9 votes.
Grinding on the honour done me, l thank all delegates as my overall accumulated votes in calculation is more than a combined total votes of 10 prominent candidates. Some of whom were Cabinet Ministers and sons of Founding Members of this outstanding Political Party, the almighty NEW PATRIOTIC PARTY.
Hence, your favourite candidate, McJewells J. Annan (National Vice Chairman losing Aspirant) expresses my deepest APPRECIATION to you all, as l extend my special thanks to the Gomoa East Executives, Ante Mercy of Eastern Region, My Campaign Committee, Kofi Adutwum old Vandal, Nicholas Gator, Eric Annan, My family and my Polling Agents.
SIGNED,
KINGSLEY KOFI ADU
