C/R: We Will Take The Law Into Our Own Hands - Family Of The Innocent Future King Of Ekumfi Blasted

The residents of Ekumfi Asaafa have blasted, given an ultimatum and urged to take the law into our own hands over the killing of an innocent future king of Ekumfi who was lynched at Aburansa for an alleged stealing.

The entire community of Ekumfi Asaafa, especially the youth of Ekumfi District in the Central Region have today, July 13, 2022 send a strong warning to the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Dr George Akuffo Dampare and Hon. Justina Marigold Assan the Regional Minister that, the family has been patient for ten days and since their feature king Festus Eduafo who was lynched and buried for wrongly accusation of robbery at Komenda-Aburansa. 

The deceased Festus Eduafo, the 28-year-old mechanic by profession and the future chief of Ekumfi Asaafa with two children on last Monday wanted to visit one of them who is leaving with his sister-in-law at Aburansa in the Komenda Edina Eguafo Abrem District in the Central Region. 

According to sources, in the hours of 14:00GMT, he got to Aburansa where he was going to get a taxi to Aborbeano but all attempts made to reach the sister in-law on phone proved futile. 

News gathered revealed that on the next day Tuesday the sister-in-law including the family thought of calling him to know his whereabouts but reaching him did not materialize and later reported to Komenda Police Station. 

According to the family, they then received a distress call from one woman that the owner of this phone has been beaten to death at Aburansa as a suspected thief.

Speaking with the Assembly Member of the area, Mr Prince Danquah confirmed that after meeting with the police, they confirmed to them that, their Royal family member is dead but his body has not been seen yet.

The Kings in the community couldn't hold their comments but gave a 2-day ultimatum to exhume the body for a proper burial.
