The Central Regional capital, Cape Coast has seen parts of it's township flooded following a lengthy yet heavy downpour in the early hours of Wednesday, June 15,2022.
The rains started from 3:15am in the morning through to 12:30pm in the afternoon, having seen some indigenes of the city and it's environs displaced by the rain flood.
Some affected areas to the flood includes Abura, Pedu, Ekon-Menyamenwu, Moree, Bakaano and some parts of the Cape Coast - Takoradi Highway also flooded, especially from the Cape Coast School for the Deaf through to Pedu Junction, hence commercial and private drivers plying that stretch are advised by the Region's National Fire Service department to drive very cautiously.
However, some schools like the Ghana National Academy, Aggrey Memorial Senior High and the Moree D/A Primary school also received it's share of the rain flood.
Meanwhile, residents within Ekon-Menyamenwu, a suburb of the ancient city as at the time of raining got flooded to the extent that individuals got stranded and had to call on authorities in charge to get to their aid and help them out.Watch Videos Below:
