A group calling Gallant Cedres, one of the strongest youth wing in the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has called on Ghanaians to forgive the IGP, Dr George Akuffo Dampare over the Bristian High Commissioner to Ghana, Harriet Thompson's tweet innuendos when the Convener of the #FixTheCounty Movement, Oliver Barker-Vormawor was arrested.

Clearly, IGP has become a political tool for the NPP. Dampare cannot assume that people have no right to express concerns about the development in the country. What is so insecure about that harmless comment made by the Diplomat, the British High Commissioner?

There are many security issues within Ghana that Police Service has purposely ignored to address. Let's be serious as a nation. IGP cannot rubbish the need to focus on serious security issues as petty. It's rather the IGP who's being petty here and NPP is vigorously defending such petty move? Some of you close to leadership must equally demonstrate higher standards in your expressions and actions to engender confidence and hope in the citizens.
