Cape Coast Metropolitan Security Council (METSEG) of the Central region would embark on the following strategies and plans to regulate the activities of tricycle, pragyia operations, sand winning and noise making within the Cape Coast Metropolitan area.

Speaking with AfricaNewsArenaGh's Anaafi Kokooto at a press conference at the Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly Hall, Hon. Ernest Arthur who is the Metropolitan Chief Executive Officer for Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly said,  a special task force operation has been formed to combat some activities such as stopping sand winning along the beaches and prohibiting open defecation as well as noise making in the Metropolis.

According to Hon. Arthur, the Assembly is sending a strong warning to persons who engage in sand winning at the beaches to desist from such an act or face the full rigors of the law in accordance with Section 96 sub sections 1,2,3,4 of the local governance Act 936 of 2016 which highlights enforcement against nuisance.

"The Regional Security Council in collaboration with Metro Security Council would soon deplore a special taskforce made up of personnel from the various security services to embark on these operations," he emphasized.
