C/R: Fire Guts Parts of Mankessim

AfricaNewsArenaGh.com has revealed that parts of Mankessim-Anweabado in the Mfantsemam Municipality of the Central region has been gutted by fire.

According to the report, the inferno destroyed properties in a single room self contain apartment beyond recognition in a compound house.

Speaking to the Mfantseman Municipal Ghana Fire Service deployed at the scene, Subordinate Officer Donkor Stephen bemoaned that most people always call the National headquarters (192) instead of the District or Municipal contact (0332191178/0299341049) and has been a major challenge. 

He hence urged the residents to be patience enough to give the needed information whenever there is an emergency. 

He further advised the general public to always turn off and unplug any electrical gadgets or appliances before going out.

Reaching the victim, Brother Dickson popularly known by the residents of Mankessim-Anweabado as "Osaman" also expressed appreciation to God for the lives saved, Fire Service personnel and  the residents for the help offered.

He further called on the government, NADMO, philanthropists, NGOs, others to come to his aid.
