Starting this Monday at the Nkoranza GIFEC E-CIC; about 25 Youth apprentices in Nkoranza will receive intensive Digitalized Startup Skills for 3-weeks. This is a special initiative by Agrico Hub to support youth receiving apprenticeships in dressmaking, welding and fabrication, hairdressing, shoemaking, among others.
Beneficiaries will receive Enterprise Design Thinking Skills to aid them to start their own sustainable businesses after their apprenticeship programmes.
The participants shall also go through how to use social media tools for business growth. Other digital tools will include phone photography, videography and graphic design.
In all, 75 youth in Nkoranza, Atebubu and Techiman shall benefit from this special initiative by Agrico Hub with support from GIZ. This programme forms part of the “Digitalization and Entrepreneurship for Local Economic Development Programme (Agrico Hub DELED Programme)”.
The DELED programme shall build the digital and startup skills capacity of about 200 women, youth and MSME owners in the Bono East region. So far 65 women have received digital skills training for informal trade in Krobo of the Techiman North District and Fiaso of the Techiman Municipal.
